Apart from new buildings, apartments are rarely rented without having the tenant for a visit. A showing to prospective tenants is often arranged while the current lease is still in effect. The landlord is allowed to show the apartment to potential new tenants or byers, but you must schedule everything in cooperation with the current tenant.
