The Consumer Disputes Board is a neutral and independent dispute settlement body. The Board guides consumer law and defines policies through established decision-making practices and new plenary session decisions. Among other things, the Board resolves disputes between consumers and businesses concerning housing transactions, for example, as well as rented housing, the assignment of occupancy rights, and guarantees and pledges. The Board also resolves disputes between private persons concerning housing transactions, rented housing and the assignment of occupancy rights as well as group complaints presented to the Board by the Consumer Ombudsman.
