Tenant’s bankruptcy

A lease’s validity does not automatically expire if the tenant declares bankruptcy. The tenant’s insolvency estate may continue the lease. After the bankruptcy has been declared, the official receiver is authorized to speak on behalf of the tenant. A tenant company, and the people in charge of the company, do not have any authority over the lease agreement once the company has declared bankruptcy.
