The management of finances in a housing company differs greatly from managing a normal business, as the purpose of a housing company is not to produce profit for the shareholders. The purpose of a housing company is, as typically is stated in the articles of association, to own and manage the lot and the buildings of the housing company. Due to this purpose, the housing company only collects funds to cover its expenses.
