Residential lease

The Act on Residential Leases and its provisions apply to any residential lease agreements by which a building or any part thereof is leased to another person for residential purposes. The applicable law and its provisions are determined on the basis of the principal use agreed for the apartment or building. The Act on Residential Leases and its provisions are largely peremptory. This means that in principle, residential lease agreements may not derogate from the provisions of this Act.
